Career Workshops for Postgraduates
The School of Historical Studies will be holding career workshops for current postgraduate students over late October and early November. The workshops are designed to assist students in planning for life after the thesis. Each of the workshops will involve the opportunity to talk with past graduates and senior staff. They will include short presentations, the chance to ask questions, and informal drinks.
Three workshops are planned:

Is There Life after the Thesis?

This workshop brings together graduates who have entered diverse careers in academic and non-academic worlds. Each participant will briefly outline the nature of their academic study, the difficulties they faced in completing their thesis, the struggle to gain employment, and the nature of their current careers.
